Maintaining a Healthy Balance in a Job Search.
Organizing Yourself and Your Search for Success.
A job search is a journey. It is a journey with many bifurcated
paths, false starts, highs and lows. Success on this journey
depends on maintaining a healthy mental balance, staying organized
and strong networking. This workshop will help you to organize
yourself and your job search for success.
Dana Mayhew is a human resources professional with over 25
years of experience. Now that her son has graduated from college
she is at a personal crossroads in her life. She is exploring
the idea of moving from consulting to full time regular employment.
Dana knows first hand that looking for employment is a full
time job...often a frustrating and sometimes discouraging
job. She describes this job as one of life's great journeys
and strongly believes that the success of this journey depends
on maintaining an organized approach to the job search and
a good mental balance.
Having interviewed and hired hundreds of people in her various
roles, she is an excellent candidate to share with us what
recruiters are looking for and how to stay organized during
a job search. She will discuss sourcing jobs, networking,
tracking progress and maintaining an emotional and physical
balance while on the job search journey.
