Introverts Versus Extroverts: Different
Networking Strategies
(May 18, 2010 Topic)
Maria Simpson, Ph.D. is an executive coach, consultant, trainer
and mediator who has worked extensively with the corporate,
non-profit and conflict resolution communities to promote
incorporating conflict resolution into organizational systems
and training people in the skills and approaches of mediation.
She has served as a volunteer mediator for the LA County Superior
Court, has taught conflict management and communications at
UCSB and UCLA Extension programs, Antioch University/Santa
Barbara, and CSU Dominguez Hills.
One of Maria's areas of specialty includes advice on networking
for introverts and extroverts. Since introverts and extroverts
get their energy from different sources, their approaches
toward networking may be quite different. Maria's insight
and practical advice is invaluable especially for those who
have been frustrated by the one-size-fits-all strategies promoted
by many networking gurus.
